more tension

so i got a set of ghs precison flats..put them on..and the E string is a bit floppy compared to the rest of the strings..and when i get to drop D it get's worse..

what is the main reason behind this..i had a set of fender flats prior which were lighter gauge but the E was a bit better.

what should i be looking at the next time i buy strings if i want high(er) tension ?

Unfortunately a lot of string makers don't bother to inform us of the tension of their strings.

Within a string model you can increase tension by going to a thicker string. Jumping from model to model or from maker to maker gets fun, unless you stick to those who provide information about their products.
