Here's some more information on how to date these pedals. I got this from a guy that was selling one on Ebay last month:
Yes, I also have a Power Wah Fuzz up for sale. I've been doing a lot of research on these and I'm fairly certain the first ones were produced in around early 1974, maybe late 1973. The best way to date them is look at the pot codes inside and also the transformer codes. The last two numbers are always the year and week of manufacture (ie 7552 is 52nd week of 1975, 7826 is 26th week of 1978). So the latest code on any original component should get you in the ballpark of when it was made. I have found that it is usually the transformers which have the later dates (pot codes can be as much as three years earlier than the transformers). The TM on either the front plate or rear is always an earlier pedal (pre-1977 approximately). I have one that I call 'transitional' in my own collection which has the R on the front plate (but it's a heavy plate, not a label) and the TM on the rear plate. They probably built that one right when they were making the change. I've got a data sheet I'm putting together to get a history of them. If you have a chance, send me your codes when you get them so I can add them to my research. I'm listing things like serial number, model, pot codes, transformer codes, TM or R, front plate style (label or plate), and plug style (early or late, later pedals have a flanged plug). Thanks for your interest and let me know if you need any other info!
With this information, I was able to date my pedal to either late 1975 or early 1976!
