Even though Dick Lovgren uses a pick, he plays this rhythmic figure from start to finish with Thomas Haake...I would dare anyone to find a more challenging piece given the length of time he has to do this and the revolving time signatures

Any time I'm looking to practice for stamina, I put on Iron Maiden.
Iron Maiden - Losfer Words (Big Orra): Uptempo Iron Maiden goodness
Iron Maiden - Rime of the Ancient Mariner: 13 minutes of alternating easy passages and ridiculous riffing..
How about some speed metal ala Racer X? I think Juan Alderete is seriously underrated as a player.
Marcus miller-what is hip

Pick up a copy of any of the Dotzauer Etudes for Cello books, set your metronome, and prepare for technical and stamina challenges galore.

Ok, I'm almost embarrassed to admit it, but I have a difficult (but not impossible) time with Stratus. It's brutal!
The main ostinato itself isn't so bad, but keeping up the *right* feeling and groove for 6-10 minutes can be tough. Then throw in some funky up-beat licks here and there for a little extra challenge. Articulation is key - getting that little "pop" out of each note...
