Most Expensive Resturant in Town

Latest update... I’m home. :hyper:
And lunch was tolerable.

The trick I found, was to pick items that required minimal intervention by the “Nutrition” staff.
Tomato soup. They opened a can of Campbell's pre-mixed. Nothing to add.
Cottage cheese. Just scoop it out of the 55 gallon drum.
Banana. Unpeeled, ripe. What’s to screw up?
And a Cheeseburger. Bun, cooked patty, melted cheese. That was the riskiest item on my lunch tray.
It was every bit as good as the hamburger I had at that hospital the last time I had a procedure there, four decades ago. The patty may have been in the the cryogenic unit since then, who knows? :D

...and the only alcohol they serve comes in the form of wipes.
Lunch was pressed rat on Winter Vegetables. Winter cause they had to thaw them out first? ;)

Dinner was shoe leather on IMPs (Industrial, aka instant, Mashed Potatoes) with gravy.
Now one of my weirdness’ is that I like IMPs if you do them up right.
Have liked em ever since I was a kid. drool
Mrs. Garage Bander being a closet gourmet chef, won’t allow them in the house, so I gotta sneak ‘em when I can. This place has ruined IMPs for me. :(

But the service is great! Just push a button and they bring you whatever.
Might go home tomorrow if I don’t develop a severe reaction to what they feed me..

So nothing life threatening, no ER, just a planned visit. Had to get a little work done in an area South of my nose, North of my knees.
Dr. made a joke about a transplant that would probably get me in trouble here. Damn near made me blush!
Mrs. GB asked if he could also do a grumpectomy. “Sorry, that’s a different specialty.”

Breakfast will be some kind of egg scramble thing, can’t hardly wait. :vomit:
They said as long as I could keep my food down, I could go home sooner. Sounds like some kind of racket if you ask me. :banghead:

Anyway, you’re all gonna have to put up with me a while longer. Consider yourself as having been served notice. Unless I eat the paper that notice is printed on, first.

TNC with a side of carrots looking pretty good right now. :nailbiting:

I feel your pain, sir.

I'm sitting in a hospital bed right now. Been here almost 2 weeks. Foot surgery and recovery.

Can't wait to get real food again.
