Really? I thought they were all split coils...no?
Can you give me an example of a true humbucker in a J pickup?
Thanks,
LouLoomis
But, I would like to know which J-sized pickups sound the most humbucking.
Humbucking means they don't hum. So what does "humbucking" sound like?
Now if you mean they have a fat low end and mids, then none of the hum canceling Jazz pickups would get you exactly there because none of them are configured like a real humbucker, except the Joe Barden pickups:

Most hum canceling Jazz pickups are split coils or stacks.
I have no idea what the Bardens sound like.
