Motorola Droid

I got me one today. Seems like a cool phone so far, although I doubt I will use half the features. It doesn't have ESPN MVP, so one strike against it already.

Anyone else get one yet?

its been my experience that motorola phones are garbage and break every single time. hopefully you have a good one. it seems pretty cool.

I'm likely to get one. Since I have to be on Verizon for coverage, I can't get an iPhone, and Droid seems like a cool alternative.

"cool"? many are saying "better" (e.g. "copy/paste", which iphone didnt have it until update w/ 3GS... and that's just plain dumb). and yes, i'm a mac nut. but i'll probably go HTC, only cause the motorola is pretty honkin' huge.

Verizon developes a phone, like the iPhone in order to gain market share in order to have apple let them sell iPhones.

I too have been getting the Droid emails, and it looks like a cool phone... but I doubt I would have a use for half the features as MJ mentioned. I am new to Verizon (our local provider was bought out by them)- so far I'm pretty happy w/ the service and the new phone they sent me (Samsung Alias 2). When our contract is up in 6 mos I may look at the Droid- especially if my needs change enough to actaully put it to use enough to justify having it

Not really a ploy, the android os has been out 4 years but only reently has any1 other than htc put out a phone woth it.

The motoblur interface is really cool but thatsjust a java shell 4 the linux kernal. I will get a moto cliq as soon as funds permit (I have a g1 now)

Poor Motorola. They use to represent the very finest in electronic communication devices but now things like this are said about their product. Wonder where they went wrong?
