any idea how to do this? No simple google search pulled up anything. Is there an attachment that lets you mount it like a realist, around the G string ball instead of on the silks?

Double Bass Mounting a Full Circle like a Realist

Gollihur includes a nifty plastic thingy with the Lifeline and Realist that enables you to mount them without taking the string off. I bet it would work with a full circle, and in my experience the guys there are really into customer service and would help you out if you contacted them.
Take the string mount bracket off and mount the jack with a Velcro cable tie or a plastic zip tie to the e side of the tail piece by threading it through the hole. I put my jack in a clear rubber tube or hose to minimise vibration noise. you can get the Velcro cable ties at any music store for about a buck each.
I could not agree more with the level of support and help the folks at Gollihur provide. Not sure if the Realist mount will work on the Life Line and am sure the folks from Gollihur will be glad to help and offer other options if they have one.
Very basic: I think it looks cooler. If there is a >$20 solid way to fix it I'll do it. I saw someone in town who had done it and didn't have time to ask him.
^^^Here's your answer. All you need is a pair of pliers or a socket to remove the string mount, and a piece of velcro (or a zip tie) to attach the jack to your tailpiece. Dead easy and cheap.
But is the velcro steady enough? I tried to "squeeze" a jack to the tailpiece with velcro, but it felt flimsy, the jack could slide out etc.
I use the Gollihur Copper Realist mount with a Full Circle after I took the string mount off and surrounded the Full Circle with a piece of rubber it works great. I think it's worth trying to get one.
I put black electrical tape around the full circle jack to make it bigger, then used the hoop clip that comes with a realist to string it through the G. I have also in the past just used a zip tie as well.

I did something similar to previous post but I had no idea that you can remove the string mount braket.
mine is very tight and I'm afraid to broke it.
I used rubber from and inner tube bike wheel to fill the gap.
Any advice to remove the string mount?

You should be able to undo the thin nut that holds the string mount on the end of the jack. Here are a couple of clips I have made for fixing all sorts of jacks to the tailpiece, on the left for most jacks and on the right for David Gage jacks which have a slightly larger diameter. Don’t be put off by the somewhat ‘industrial’ appearance, they are for the gigging musician who wants a really firm location and a jack that be disconnected one-handed.
I have previously sent a few over to US but I have only very few in stock at the moment. If anyone is interested I’ll get some components in and make some up.

Chirs I am. I was told it would pick up a woodier sound
The velcro I used feels quite solid. It's for wrapping cables, so it has a hole at one end and can be tightened pretty effectively around the jack before you run it through the E string tailpiece hole. I used a zip tie before, which was a little more stable but had to be cut if I ever wanted to remove the jack from the tailpiece.
