Movin' on up! (from 4- to 5- string)

Music tablature has been around since the 1600s and was the primary way that guitar music was communicated for several hundred years.
I have to admit I never saw tab until I restarted playing 18 months ago. Everything I saw was sheet music. Most of the bass and guitar players I knew did not know how to read unless they had been classically trained. Most music that you bought also had chord charts so dummies like me could follow along. That seemed to suffice for the music of the day, rock, blues, etc. Most of us in 70's played by ear, or following chord charts. Learn the progression, learn the licks, and you pretty much had it.
