Basically, i play standard 4-string 22-fret bass guitar along with standard 6-string electric guitar and classical at the moment, but i'd like to play double bass as well, mainly cause they sound so damn cool, but i need some advice on acoustic/electric, and some good brands, some more affordable brands as i know nothing!

Moving from bass guitar to double bass?!

Bop over to the double bass side and start reading through some of the newbie links. There's a ton of good information buried there.
Agreed. Check out the links on the Double Bass side. Its a lot different than the electric world. Less about "brands" etc. You need to find the right bass for you. It is extremely important to find a teacher first as well. The technique required is significantly different and you want to make sure you don't hurt yourself!
Keep in mind that the DB is a totally different animal in terms of the mechanics of playing. If you do decide to take it up, get yourself a teacher. It will be easier in the long-run if you learn proper technique up front.

Be prepared to spend around $3k US for an entry level hybrid instrument, including cover, bow, rosin, strings, and setup. There are many cheaper basses, but they are not worth owning in terms of sound, playability, durability, and resale value. Look for a Shen, Upton, or Wan Bernadel.
There are other older "entry level" instruments, especially if you are considering older laminate basses, but if you are seeking to become proficient with the bow—which is actually essential for becoming a player with good intonation—you will want a hybrid or fully carved instrument.
Even the least expensive used fully carved bass (carved solid wood for top, sides, back) will likely be at least $4K. Good used Hybrids (carved top and laminate sides and back) will appear now and then for under $2k.

I´ve always wanted a double bass since I saw this music video like 10 years ago - if it is possible to look cooler than this guy while playing either a bass or a double bass, well.....I never seen anyone.
