Thats what some people say but I rememeber Zender saying before that JayKay thought that it was too hard to sing to a fretless so that is why he didn't use one himself.

don't think so. he uses it the whole song, try and play along with a tuned fretted bass and you'll notice Zender's intonation is off during most of the verse parts (the cool melodic line)

I thought I was Andrew Levy from "The Brand New Heavies" as I have read that he did some session work for Jamiroquai before Zender joined.

Well I like the Mr X version the best, the zender version is way more tame, mr X is going off!

I collaborated with Paul in the 80's he was a top bassist and played with a lot of well known bands and on many hits as a session guy. All round top bloke and musician - learnt his trade in the gospel scene! This is one he played on.
