I have an MTD Kingston 5 with a fraying wire into the preamp, cuts in and out randomly. Normally I can fix these issues, but it's breaking right where it enters the back of the black gooped preamp circuit.
It's not a bad preamp, a bit noisy, but I'm thinking of replacing it with something less noisy. Bass has stock split singles, Volume/Blend, TMB.
Thinking something like nordstrand 3b 5a or bartolini ntmb+f, any suggestions?
