Hey guys, I would like some opinions on these 2 (5string) basses for gospel. The Warwick is double the price but is it worth it? I'm also trying to figure out why is the Corvette so expensive ($1850;active) from being about half the price before. A used Corvette would be about the same as a new Deluxe but what would give more variety in tone? Thanks!

For that kind of money I'd consider a 55-01 or a 55-02 before a Warwick...but that's me.. I have never been a fan of Warwick basses.. All the ones I ever played just didn't move me feel wise... Between the two I'd go with the Sara.
I have a 2005 warwick corvette 5 string with stock MEC active pick ups. It has a good sound. The tonal properties are good, but I typically turn everything up and adjust my sound at the amp. I picked it up for 799.00 a couple years ago. Its a heavy bass, at least 15 pounds. It's a well made Instrument and I like it alot, but I don't play it unless I'm sitting. You may want to consider a lighter weight bass if you perform frequently.
