Multi fx unit connection

greetings... quick, possibly silly question
Can a multi fx unit (Yamaha fx500b) with just l/r out be connected to an amps fx loop? Maybe just take the L output into the amps fx return using a TRS cable??? But still plugging into the front input of my amp so I can use my drive pedals. I just want the rack for delay/verb etc..
I been offered a good deal on said Yamaha but dont want to fork out the bread if it isnt going to work in my amps loop
thanks in advance guys and again sorry if its a silly question

Will it work yes will it sound the best there maybe and maybe not it is difficult to tell. Try it and see what you think. It won't do any damage . And just in case this was not a sarcastic answer. There really is no way to tell without trying it.
thanks buddy, I kinda knew that answer was coming... Im not being sarcastic either... Thank you

Yes you can but that is a very old and very outdated piece of gear. Unless you are getting it virtually free, pass and also be sure it includes the correct power supply, those things are the rooster's egg in the deal.
Yeh it comes with the correct PSU etc and IS at a steal of a price (cheaper than the `cheap` verb pedal I intended buying a few days before the offer of it came up) thanks buddy
