Muse at Oakland 12/15/15. "Drones"

Just wondering if any TB'ers have seen the current Muse tour following up their new release "Drones".

I must say that after seeing Pink Floyd, Queen, Zeppelin, Yes, Genesis, ElP, the Stones, and so many more great bands over the last 47 years that the production value last night was equal to and may have even outdone everything I have ever seen before. The production also blew away any Cirque show I've seen as well.
Between the revolving stage in the round with animated led floor lighting, the projection images and effects, the flying drones big enough to put s full grown man in as well as the flying space shuttle, I found myself sometimes completely distracted by the physical spectacle of the show!

Performance wise... The band is at the top of their game, specially Matthew. His voice has jumped into the realm of many of the greatest male vocalists ever. I have had mixed feelings about his vocal style but was thoroughly blown away by his capabilities last night.

Sound wise...

Great drum, keys and guitar tone... I can't say the same about Chris's bass tone. I was dying to hear just one song with his bass played without effects (fuzz specifically). His bass sounded lost and muddy and lacked definition even in passages where he was solo'ed.
I get it... I mean about the effect his bass plays underneath Muse, but kept thinking all night how great his bass may have sounded if just effected less and with enough mids to differentiate from the kick drum (which by itself sounded like. F'ing atomic blast on each beat.

I'm seeing them in late January at Prudential Center.

Can't wait. LOVE Muse!!!!!!

My friend who I am going with saw them couple years ago and said it was the best concert he's ever seen and he's seen "a few".

He's also played drums with some pro's and worked at Record Plant NYC so knows a thing or two about this stuff.

We saw Muse last night at Pru Center in Newark NJ. GA seating and we were 3 deep from the barrier. We were grinning like fools at how close we were. UNBELIEVABLY GREAT SHOW!!!! The drum sound was amazing. In fact the overall sound was amazing.
