Music Man Amps User-Thread

I like the tone of my Invalid Link Removed. I bought a second one:

I bought one of these when they first came out and like an idiot later traded it for a Guild/Hartke 4x10, hindsight is definitely 20/20!
After years of searching for a 100B, I finally found a decent example to purchase. As they say, when it rains it ours, a month later i found another!
Looking forward to gigging with the two and two Greenboy 15/6 Tubes...

I've had an HD one fifty since 93 and love it. My aunt bought it new and I bought it from her for $100 when I was in my senior year of High School. I wish I had the original cabinet. I love the fact that, with the impedance switch and the series wiring of the speaker outputs, you can mess with many different cabinet options. I mostly run it with a small, single 15" , 4 ohm GK cabinet but have several different cabinets I use for bigger venues.
I miss my HD212 and regret trading it for an Eden D 410-T (even though I loved that cab as well). Really opened up when hit with more power. Heavy though, like 90 something lbs if I remember correctly.

Can anyone with a 412b post a pic of the cab without the grill?

I had one of those cabinets back in the paid next to nothing and weighed extremely heavy.Don't forget about deez!

I've owned a Music Man HD 150 guitar 2x12 for a while now, bought it for low dough.
Nice reverb and phaser onboard as a bonus, it had some crappy speakers and it needed work overall.....so.
I finally get around to plugging the amp into one of my many bass cabs; 8x10 and a pair of EV 15L TL606 cabs are the main ones...Eden Metro and GK800RB are my main amps.
The MM HD 150 not dissapoint! Very dynamic into both a 4 and 8 ohm load and warm and rich sounding...new set of NOS Sylvania 6L6GC big bottle as well.
Sounds great on low or hi power setting as well.
This is the biggest tube power amp i own....the nice thing is its a very solid guitar amp with a very good phaser and reverb....downside, it's a 2x12 combo and it is HEAVY...i did add casters to the 2x12 combo, are you kidding, otherwise you would need a skate or dolly of some sort just to barely move it at all!

Anyone here still using a 115 RH? Wondering how it stacks up to modern cabinet designs.
I have four and although they are not as versatile or light weight as modern cab, they move air and ROCK!

FOUR? Wow.....good grief, just one of my TL606 EV15L cabs is absolutely room filling.
I rarely have ever seen Music Man bass amps,cabs locally....where are they?
I have a sinister plan of installing 6550's in place of the 6L6GC in my HD150....but honestly, even on the lo-power side, this HD150 moves some air.
I still have mine with a Black Widow (does not fit the hole properly). It sounds awesome with my ABM500 but not as good with other heads.
I've got one of the original HD-130's with the 12AX7 phase inverter tube and Electro Harmonix big bottle 6CA7 power tubes
(faithfully biased), and an extra set of Burr Brown LM307H op amps (impossible to find). Caps replaced
Now that I am in my late 60's will probably put it up for sale very soon, stay tuned
