For the truly obsessive. My Caprice twins vs my CS Fenders (59P and 60J), Sadowksy RV5, Lakland USA Bob Glaub, early SSD NS2, and 2005LE Sterling. A few notes:

  • Do not bother listening to any of this unless you're on good headphones
  • "blue caprice" has a rosewood board and stock strings (regular slinkys). Yes, I swapped the necks :)
  • "black caprice has a maple board and brand new dunlop super bright nickels
  • On the caprice slap clips I played it once 50/50 blend, then backed off the bridge pickup slightly
  • Lakland, Sadowksy, and Fenders all have relatively fresh dunlop super bright nickels
  • Spector has steel lo-riders
  • Sterling has light gauge ernie ball steels I think
  • All the clips with the same name are the same part, I didn't do all parts with all basses for hopefully obvious reasons.
  • Signal path is ONVIFX Smoothie, DB751 direct out post-EQ with the preamp set almost flat just a tiny bass boost, Apogee Jam, Garage Band.

LMK if there's something else you want to hear?
