Not to turn this into a Bangles thread, but Michael Steele was such a slanky girl back in the Bangles' heyday, and a solid bass player too.

I was, and still am, a Bangles fan.

I think a lot of us would dig on one of those graphite-necked Cutlasses.

This isn’t a pre-EB instrument. It uses the lever pickup selector used on EBMM Sabres, not the micro-switches used on Pre-EBs.

You're right, this isn't a preEB.
But the lever and 16 pole neck pickup & solid covers actually did come during the last two years of preEB Sabres.

A few years ago there was a member here that posted a pic of an early EB bass they've had since new and it had a black painted neck.
I'm sure Michael's bass is most likely a painted neck rather than a graphite one.
