Music Man tone?????

the battery for me needs to be changed every few months now but when i was playing it more often it needed to be changed about once a month. your battery life will be worlds better if you unplug it when you arent playing it. also the mids knob is where the money lies in dialing in your tone on the ray. i usually boost my mids and only boost the lows a pinch and cut the highs a pinch. Also my favorite switch position for the HH is the 4 spot or the one with the bottom row of the bottom pickup and top row of the top pickup.

When I first started playing Rays I rolled off the treble all the way, dimed the mids, and boosted the low end a bit. I liked it but always got to much distortion live. Now everything is set flat or slightly boosted. It took a while to get use to this. It works much better in a band situation. I prefer this now.

I love the three band. For me its much easier to eq than a two. It also makes eq in different rooms much easier.
