Danny Gatton is another favorite, I took a trip to a DC area club to see him...unbelieveable.

Re Buchanan and Gatton, living in the DC metro area I too was fortunate to see them both several times. I knew and played with folks that knew and played with Danny. Met him briefly once. I wish they were still with us.

I was born at Exit 109 and raised at Exit 105 spent a few years at Exit 129 and I've lived at Exit 98 for the last 40 years. I was much more familiar with Springsteen seeing him playing from Asbury Park to New York City than I was with Bon Jovi who I've never seen play but it was fun.
When I was a freshman in college I persuaded the proctor of my house/dorm, who was also in charge of entertainment for the student center, to hire Springsteen for a show. He did and the day of the show it snowed about 6 inches but they showed up and played even though it was in a hallway adjacent to the cafeteria and only about 20 people braved the storm to see them. Soon after that he started playing The Ledge at Rutgers SAC and those shows were a lot of fun.

Unfortunately, I never saw Roy or Danny live, but have always appreciated their music and admired their talent and what they can do with a Telecaster. I might add Bill Kirchen as another brother of the Telecaster, also from the mid- Atlantic region.
