Music Match thread

I just yesterday heard a podcast interview with Chris, where he mentions the Yamaha used here.
In typical Chris fashion, he didn’t know the model number (evidently the bass was a loan from Yamaha).
But i believe he inadvertently revealed the model when he said it had controls that lit up.
That would be an RBX4-2A, (or RBX5-2A, if a 5-er). The RBX models were an unusual construction,
designed to deliver a full sound in a very light weighted instrument.
I’ve always been curious about them, never saw one in person. 2 passive single coil pickups arranged in J bass positions, with VVT controls. (Both volume controls light up).
And Of course, it sounds great on this track.
Very interesting! I always believed it was a Yamaha BB2025 or BB2025X, because that's what I read in an article and that model was made available at the time the album was recorded.

I know the RBXA2 series, it's a very interesting and little known model that Ed Friedland made a video of a few years ago.

Thank you :)
