I realized a long time ago the true value of being raised in the Army. both sides of my family are (mostly) from Alabama and those who were born and raised here are typical crackers, afraid of blacks but only because of the steady stream of misinformation they've been fed their whole lives.
Of course the part of my family that moved up north to Michigan are also typical crackers because they took that misinformation with them and sought out those living under the same misconceptions.
I once asked my high falutin, important church man uncle how it worked out that it was OK to hate someone for no other reason than the package the good lord put them in.
He told me questions like that were why he was sure I was hell bound.

It makes me sad to see people wasting so much energy hating others because they are a different color.
