Greg Lake often recounted in interviews how he'd had conversations with Jimi Hendrix about joining ELP, but Hendrix OD'd before they could ever get together. That would have been interesting...

Considering that not even Jon Anderson is no longer in the band (and he's the only surviving original member!), I would only be in the best Yes cover band on the planet, and not really Yes!

What if the music business was treated more as a utility than a business? By that I mean value driven rather than profit driven. If you turn on your faucet, you can almost be sure water will come out; if you flip on the light switch, the lights will come on (if you paid your bill)… The electric company raises it's rates, but the same usable quality of electricity is available to all. Imagine music was treated in this way. How much more advanced would we all be with exposure to great musicians we can now only dream of? Many of them are struggling just to put food on the table and don't have the time to create any music, so they'll forever be unknowns. How much more impressive would some of the musicians we do know of be if their influence pool was greater? How much better would you be?
