Just ordered a 5H from Rocket. Love the SSS and feel the H will be a fit between the SSS and Sterling HH.

Anyone here have a Sterling that can offer a comparison?

Sup G! Hell yea I be Rockn the PDN, I love that bass,the roasted neck is so stable, unlike all my other guitars. It never needs a seasonal tweak. Someone out there in TB land has the same bass in a 5er, if that person EVER decides to sell talk to me first, I WILL take it!!!!

The single H Big Als are great, the pickup is in the perfect sweet spot and the 4-band EQ plus active/passive switch gives you plenty of options even with one pickup. I used to own one before I sold it to get the SSS, but that was mostly because I already owned a couple of other single H EBMMs.

Thanks - I am closing the deal on one this Sunday ... I'm as giddy as a school girl. I once owned a 4SSS but sold it ... why do I do this?

It looks like a 5H is coming my way... I've been interested in Big Als since they were first released, it'll be interesting to compare it to my 25th 5H.

Took the plunge yesterday and bought a Big AL 5 PDN Midnight blue with a roasted maple neck and a black pearloid pick guard.

I spent an hour testing and setting up the Bass in the store. I wanted to make sure there were no issues with the Bass.

Loaded it up and took it to a jazz a avaunt garde gig, set it up as an active jazz bass and was Killin' the whole gig.
