They have had some 19mm 5ers in the past (I know the Roscoe Beck V was 19mm, not sure about any other models), but all their 5ers have been 18mm for many years now. I quite like the spacing on Fender 5ers, but never had an issue with the spacing on the SR5 or Bongo5s that I've owned either.

Well I can confirm that the spacing on my Fender Modern Player Satin Jazz V is 19mm...I know it is a bit of an odd duck and of course is now discontinued. It uses a new Fender high mass bridge that is similar to the BadassII design, which is quite nice really. I didn't think they'd vary from their standard spacing for this model but I suppose it makes sense since the Roscoe Beck V was 19mm and this bass is essentially a variation on that theme.

Pretty sure Fender's 5 string basses are 19mm. I must be a wimp because I notice the difference and prefer the slightly wider spacing.

I'm not sure it makes one wimpy. Just is the reverse of the preference I have.

Spin, but wouldn't move the neck. I basically thought the neck was shot, and therefore the whole bass. I just
Let to sit for a year and then it was fine. That's the kind of repair I'm good at.

At any rate, I don't play high enough to care about the heel, and there are plenty of great sounding bolt ons, so I'd rather have an easy to replace neck
