MusicMan Self Build

Well just got Unemployed and was always looking in to building a guitar like a MusicMan StringRay Bass

First thing the BODY and CIRCUIT
all i got to go on is a load of Photos, so if any one knows of any plans about the place i would be very keen.

I did buy a Wilkinson Pickup 13k abouts already.
So figured make the body myself, holes inculed (StringRay and that should also if dont have the budget for dual humbuckles to do a Sterling)
Ive got 5 way switches from my time with Strats, and could add a switch for splliting the coils like on 'The Game Changer'

Then i guess it will be down to buying the Scratch Plate, Bridge, and the Cover for the Controls.

So far i got a,
Loaded Controler On Order
Scratch Plate H On Order
Pick Up Got
Jack Socket Built in to the guitar (tho the Controler has one too) On Order
Bridge On Order

NEED
Make the Controling Circuit (have seen this on this site)
Body (oh yes i need to make a body, so need if any one has them Measuments and suggestion of the wood to use)
First time so might look a mess but can always re-do at a later date

Ash for the body! Swamp ash if possible to keep it light.

You can save money and build your own pre although it takes some doing: http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f38/diy-stingray-3eq-preamp-883257/

I would just keep an eye on the classifieds here, MM preamps come up for sale from time to time. That would be MUCH easier.

Thanks for the link i got a few Chips on order for this, as i think a few different ones were suggested. All the rest i should have in my kit and should have my own strip board. (my dream as a kid was to be a Silcoln Chip Designer, i did MicroElectronics what turned out to be computers!! oh well)

PS what sort of sizes, been trying to look up ash and im findish it in 2" think and 4" wide by 4'
