Musicman Sterling...fav pu configuration

MM Sterling guys,

What is your prefered pu configuration.....H, HH, or HS? I have pretty much settled on this bass and I thinking HS if I find one that suites me, but I would love to hear from you guys. Obviously everyone has different needs but I am interested to hear what you guys prefer. For what it's worth I am gonna go maple on the neck....feels soooo good.

Thanks,
PaulP

I've owned both a Sterling 5 H and Sterling 5 HH. Needless to say, today I still have the HH. Didn't like the H and I tried to get into it, but couldn't. I've never bothered with a HS, seems pointless to me when a HH is available.

I've had all three and the single H was fine when that was all they offered. Once the HH came out it blew the rest away and I have 4 and 5 string HHs now. The HS never made me happy, I tried 3 different HS Sterlings before I gave up. Keep in mind that I always kept my single H Sterling set to series mode so I love the tone of the HH. The HS and HH Sterlings are series mode only in all positions. The single H Sterling switch gives you series, single coil or parallel modes.
