Musicman Sterling Ray34CA neck size question

I've had some G.A.S. for a Ray34CA in sunburst finish lately. Love the idea of the 2-band eq and ash body, maple neck. I know the neck width at the nut is about 1 1/2". Any one know how thick the neck is at say the 1st and 12th frets? I was hoping it was as thick as a regular Ray34....Skinny necks with a Jazz width nut give my wrist fits because my hand is pivoting too far forward when grooving when using the hand cup groove technique....If Ernie Ball kept some beef on the Ray34CA neck,my wrist may get along well with it. Anyone play both and can comment on it? Thanks in advance....:D

Nobody?.....Okay,how about in general, are the necks similar in heft? anybody uncomfortable with the Ray34CA neck profile? I checked the Ernie Ball website,no info on neck thickness to be had...Here's a pic of my last Ray I had,a 1976 model. I'll be lucky to duplicate that monsta tone...

I own both and like both. The Ray34 took a few times to get used to because of the wider neck at the nut but I love it now. I also own a Geddy Lee jazz and feel that the Ray34CA neck is similar in feel. The slab body was not a problem and Ray34CA sounded pretty good so I decided to keep it.

Feel is so subjective but that is my two cents. Good luck.
