Mustang (JPN) wiring issues

Hi!

I saw a lot of expert opinions on previous issues related to wiring, so figured I would post a picture of my wiring here and see what you guys think.
I have a lot of hum when not touching the strings so according to what I read here this is a shielding issue. I was getting ready to work on that but now wonder if my wiring is ok (I got this bass second hand). This doesn't seem to follow P-Bass diagrams that I see online, and wires seem mismatched in gauge. Volume is left, tone on the right (again P-Bass layout on the Mustang I believe?).

What do you guys think? Should I get my soldering iron out??

I love this little bass by the way, nice punch perfect for what I need (rock / punk rock with pick).

Thanks for the reply, much appreciated!
That looks quite a lot different indeed... I did see some capacitors connected to both volume and tone on other diagrams, but not the way it is on mine. So weird!
Do you think this could explain the suspected hum from shielding issue or is it a completely different issue?

I'll get to work and report back.
