I wish I had thought to mention that. Your thumb can stop the both E and A string in addition, when plucking D or G. Heck it can stop D too...

Still wrong. Why bother with two postures rather than one when one accomplishes everything?

Oh and also about the thumb, I was talking about the thumb on the right hand.
