MXR M87 Gain and Reduction Light No turning On

Good morning,

Just hoping someone could help me out. I just bought an MXR M87 compressor pedal and for some reason everything seems to be working expect the gain and reduction light does not turn on.

I have tried turning the ratio all the way up. I turned the volume of my bass up as well and nothing. I put up the attack and still nothing.

When I turn on the pedal the lights turn on, then they turn off.

New or used? That wasn't mentioned. If it's new, bring it back. If it's used.....hope they'll work something out.

Try turning the input up as well, if that doesn't work then most likely there's an issue with your pedal. I'd return it.

What he said. You've got to have the input set properly before it will act right. This pedal can take a really hot input signal. I have to set mine at about 80% on the input for it to function properly.
