I would like to ask a question on the Major scale on this if I may. I am new to bass so if I am misinformend let me know. I saw this yesterday thread and played it this major scale this morning. I am OK on the major scale with patterns 1, 2, & 4. But with 3 and 5 there is a note/s missing.
#3 goes A-B-C-D-E-F-G-A-C-D. Missing B
#5 goes D-E-F-G-A-C-D-F Missing both B&E Do you add these in?? I am not sure of myself with scales and this just did not sound right. The pattern I learned for guitar was 3 notes per string starting on the root.
Thanks as I am confused
Kudos for making your cheat sheet - I will definitely print it out and
keep one in my bass case and put up one on my wall.
Here is the fretboard that I created awhile back. This is a big image that is best printed on 8 1/2 x 14 inch legal paper. This is great for hanging on the wall in a practice area because it's easily visible from a fair distance.
