I see you're a fan of nylon tapewounds, how do they sound on the 51P RI? I'm G.A.S.ing for one of those with tapewounds.

The Warmoth FT1 looks very cool as well and with the tapewounds and preamp I'm thinking it sounds killer.

I have a CB Ball bass coming in spring and it will be strung with tapewounds.

Nope. They're DR Black Beauties, stainless steel roundwounds with a wrapping. The '51 would sound great with any strings tho frankly - great basses.

Yeah,those early Fortress One's were pretty special basses.
Pity they were discontinued,but the current "Rockbass" Fortress One's,the post 2009 upgraded models arent too shabby either.Check one out if ya get the chance mate.The upgraded Rockbasses are practically German Warwicks themselves.

For some reason, the pic of the Blue Boy Ric isn't showing up for me. All the others are, but not that one. Just a little blue box with a question mark inside.

But Blue Boy is one of my favorite Ric colors. That and Montezuma Brown. And Blue Burst. And Burgundy. And.... :D

Maybe some of you can help me:

Subject?? The Warmoth SG Copy bass.

Question:
To my oh so,eagle-eyed self,that bass severely reminds me of a Wal Bass. Why so? Pickups?? H/stock?? Body wood? What is it?!?!?! It's drivin' me nuts,fellers. Me?? I think it's the pups,myself.

Btw....Is it a 34" scale??

Oh...Super collection,BTW. I'd.....MAYBE....just maybe,commit a "minor" crime for the Roscoe.
