My bass guitar design (for contest)

I've entered my design in an [Invalid or Expired Link Removed], and I have made it to this month's finals... :hyper:

[Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

If you like it, please help me out and pop in a vote for it (if you think it's more worthy than the competition there...)

It only takes about 5 seconds to register for voting there (link [Invalid or Expired Link Removed])

Thanks muchly for your vote! :bassist:

I made the body extra small ( as small as possible!) only because I have a problem with heavy basses (old back injury) - I agree it would look better if it was bigger.

I do like crazy big flamboyant headstocks (think John Entwistle...) - so I put the strap button location (upper horn) way up by the 12th fret (for balance...)

I like the traditional neck P and reverse P at the bridge! I bet that would sound great. Not crazy about the headstock but I admit it flows nicely with the lines of the bass overall. A headstock that pointy could intimidate a guitarist shredding at 11-could be a bargaining point mid set! I'll vote for it.

Hmm, not crazy about the upper horn, but man I really dig that head! I think if the upper horn was more similar in shape to the headstock somehow, it would appeal more to me. Im not knocking it at all, its a really great work of art, be proud. Gave my vote. Now...what about playability / tone / sound?

looks like it'd be good for playing in bars full of Klingon's who are quick to anger... one of them pulls a Bat Leth, you wield that baby... end of story.

On a serious note, I really like the offset shape, but am not fond of the really exaggerated upper horn... that's just my personal thing.

The headstock is cool, though! Neat design! If it were a little more subtle, I think it could be really sweet!

I voted for you. I think your design shows some unique-ness you don't usually find on a boutique/artistic bass. I kind of dig it. It reminds me of Prince. Having said that, I agree with everyone that the proportions are wrong. Looking at the neck, I think the body is fine. It's just the headstock that needs some shrinkage!

Good luck

I like it a lot, love the head. Very Luna Andromeda, which is a good thing, I've been looking for a used one for a few months, and the small body/big head is similar in design (but not shape) to the Tregan Shaman Signature of which I'm a proud owner of. Very cool, nicely done.
