My Battery?

Hey Yo everybody, this is my first post so I give a big hello to everyone. My real reason for this topic is my new bass and it's a zombie. ok its not a zombie its a Ibanez GSR, I bought it used 2 weeks ago and im loving it. But they told me when I bought it I'll have to replace the battery every now and then.

Yesterday I left it plugged in all night and i thought i should change the battery this morning and, after prying the plastic cover off that was labeled "battery" there was no battery! I peered into the other compartment which was unlabled and there was no room for a battery, it looked like computer stuff (wires and chips, all that deal). So im asking you guys whats the deal? Should i take this thing back or leave it just as it is, a bass zombie.

sounds like some kind of wiring problem, I'd take it back to the store and get them to have a look at it, maybe get a different one of the same model.

And in case your wondering you dont have to change a battery often at all. I've had the battery in my esp since the end of december, and I've dont a lot of practice.
