My car got egged

I came home from work yesterday morning and discovered that my Solstice had been egged. I had left the top down the night before and one egg had hit the interior and one had hit the center brake light and splattered all the way to the windshield. The car was still wet with dew so it was easy enough to clean. I don't remember having anyone PO'd at me, so it was probably just a random thing, but it still sucks.

damn. that's the best they got fer drive bys down there? :smug:

oh, wait. another one

That's what you get for driving a "chick" car. Get it? Chick?

kidding, of course. That really sucks man...glad you got it cleaned relatively easily, but it should never even have to happen. no garage I take it?

That really sucks. Hope it cleans up OK. If you got to it pretty quick I would think it will all come out.

I once saw a convertible that had a 5 gallon bucket of yellow road center line paint pored into the cockpit.

Your car go egged? Where do you live, 1975?
Sorry, that sucks.
I leave my top down all the time in the Summer, and find spiders, leaves, pollen, cat footprints, and once, 2 inches of water from a torrential rainstorm. You'd think I'd learn, but apparently not.

Dang that sucks! It was probably some random teenager or a group of them thinking they were funny. I was in downtown San Diego one time and had a homless man throw an ice cream cone in my Camaro. I had the t-tops off and went inside a 7-11 to get a super gig gulp. There was a black homeless man eating an ice cream cone in front of my car but when I came back out about 2 minutes later, the ice cream cone was in my front seat and the homeless guy was trying to walk away like he had done nothing at all. I was fortunate enough though that I was able to detain him until the police arrived. They gave him a choice of go to jail or clean my car up. He chose to clean the ice cream out of my car and the 7-11 was kind enough to give him the cleaning supplies. Unfortunately, he also should have used the cleaning supplies on himself because he stunk up my car with B.O.

:) I think I would have done the cleanup myself. I'd rather have icecream resdue in my care than human BO :hmm:

Yeah, I know. Hindsight being what it is, that probably would have been the better idea. I do remember I had to restrain myself but beating the living daylights out of the homeless guy though. I was freaking ticked off when it happened!

I had an ex that would egg my car every time we had a disagreement. I found out it was her because after the second time it happened, I hid a webcam over the driveway and had it zoomed out to get the full angle of the street. I watched the video after it happened a third time and wasn't really surprised it was her. I e-mailed her a link to the video telling her to clean it up or I was going to report it to the police.

I'm glad that it was eggs and not something more destructive...but it still sucks.

It does make the point that leaving your top down overnight is just asking for trouble. Nothing good cam come of it other than saving you 60 seconds the next morning.

My wife walked out of her office last year and someone had keyed an arc across the trunk of her old green (1994) BMW which is in extremely nice shape. She is possibly the nicest, most considerate person I know and some lowlife did that...some people just like to crap on anything nice. I had it fixed.

some people just like to crap on anything nice.

Yeah, their world is crap for the choices they've made, so everyone must pay. I hate that. Petty jealousy.

It's like people that talk to me and if they see I have a newer car they go "aren't they lucky"...

No, I'm not lucky, I'm paying $350 a month for 4 years, and when I'm done, it'll be worth next to nothing. HOW is that lucky?

atleast it cleaned up easy.

someone egged my brothers car once, wich was fairly new at the time. he knew exactly who it was, and went to a butcher and got two pigs heads, and also picked up a few live lobsters, and had a friend of the person who did it, open the persons car to let him leave them a few suprises.

they never tried to even the score after that..
