My son and daughter (both late 20s) will always write a nice, warm message in any Father's Day or Birthday cards telling me I'm the best dad ever, how I've always been there for them, been supportive of them, how much they appreciate all I've helped/done for them, etc, etc.

Which is always nice to read, because during the other 363 days of the year I get the feeling they think I'm just old and dumb and uncool.
