Hi everyone,

I'd like to direct everyone's kind attention to the debut record of my quartet QUARTERPOUNDER. I write the tunes for the band.

Released as either download (iTunes or bandcamp) or 12 inch vinyl edition with included Hi-Q download. We just came back from a little Germany tour this morning, where we were overwhelmingly well-received by those people who could allow themselves to miss a little of the European Football/Soccer championship.

Anyway,

Sounds great! That's definitely a sound that I enjoy. I made it through to the 3rd song before Bandcamp sort of crapped out...will try again later to hear the rest. Maybe it's just me but it seems like there's a lot of very good jazz coming out of your part of the world. I recently discovered a few interesting new (and not-so-new) artists from Norway, Sweden...and now Denmark. Anyway, keep up the good work!

Apparently, the (as most people say) most important jazz blogger in Denmark (jazzynt.blogspot.com) likes our record, too- we made it onto his "Top 5 favorites of the moment" list. He's going to review the album hopefully, too...

That is absolutely fabulous news. The song "Another Boring Day at the Institute" really reminds me of the trio Phronesis, who's leader is also a Danish bassist. I mean this as a compliment by the way.

Thank you! I have to say, the first tune is designed like this- I wanted a tune with some of the Dave-isms (hence, the name) I love so much, so I stole some of his kungfu moves and made my rough and raw digestion of them into a tune...
