I'd say that one has to give a small and hesitant nod towards the effort of stepping up to the Waza, yes.

If you take your pedalboard seriously, then of course you'd use Peterson or Sonic Research - the only truly valid exception is that you crammed it chuck full of premium pedals and only have an oddly shaped bit of real estate left where you can't fit one of the aforementioned, but find something that works perfectly in that place.

(This is, of course, only my own opinion. You are, of course, invited to disagree with that! [and therefore be wrong.])

Dirt options, you say?! lol.
They’ve all been on the gig board, but, the Capo reigns supreme at the moment.

Definitely not looking for compliments; I have a great deal of difficulty in accepting them, so I'd rather avoid the awkward need to deflect if one came my way.

But nor am I looking for "validation" so much as an assessment. Having never considered myself to be a boutique/cork sniffing sort of gear hunter, I was just wondering if I've ended up going that way. I suppose, spend enough time on TB, and you are likely to get pulled into some small builder's orbit.

Options? We were talking about opinions and cork sniffing habits.

My inner cork sniffer will of course sneer down on that BlueBerry, since it's only a boutique made licensed design and not an original made by Björn Juhl himself.
And that EBS is a bit too plebeian for comment.
How is that Tremond?

Tremond is a GREAT Rat. Right up there with the Volt Thrower!

Funny you mention the BBBOD, right after snapping that pic I replaced the Barefoot with my first run BJFE that usually stays in the box because I covet it so much.

The Sheehan is really a great mild to gnarly OD.

This is a wee bit OT

yes - but there's some different schematics around - this has a 1M bass pot for more low end. Also being the same topology as the Fairfield Barbershop - which is really picky about JFET values, and not knowing any different I applied the same logic to this.
I've made three, one for me and a couple for mates and sent out PCB on a UK bass forum for the price of buying me a pint.

I love this pedal, I like JFET drive, and it's like a league nicer than the barbershop clone I made... it feels clearer and more open, and of course way more gain on tap... so it can do low gain ampeg-ish-a-like , mid gain drive .... or even up to fuzz - and is so touch sensitive that you can set it so it goes into a heavier drive when you dig in.

It's good enough that I don't need another drive pedal, my reading of this thread of course may lead you to other conclusions...

Fuzzdog do a kit (with side jacks)and I would have to be a supporting member to comment if I have any PCBs left...

I have my low gain sounds pretty much covered with the Capo and the B-Side boost, and the SV-Boost on the top right, so really looking for a higher gain, not necessarily distortion, but medium gain for when I want to get dirty or accentuate the chorus of a song.
