My drummer... I just need to share this...

WHO:
I am in a three piece rock covers band.
Guitar/Singer, Bass (me), Drums
We have played together for 5 years now. I love these guys dearly. I am so lucky to be playing in a rock band at 46 years old with 2 of my closest friends.

WHEN:
Last night/Today.
Basking in the splendid exhaustion of a great gig last night. We really nailed it.

WHAT:
This is an actual text thread I was having with my drummer and guitarist about 30m ago. Guitarist was not in this part of the text thread. (photoshopped it to crop it down)

NOTES:
'The Grog' is the venue we just played.
'jill' is drummer's girlfriend.
'Thank You' is the Zep song that we mash with Marshall Tucker Band 'Can't You See'.

Uh... I kind of do this ALL THE TIME. Sometimes during the gig, calling a song in the third set that we played in the first... After a while, they all tend to run together

Same here. I've done theater shows where I couldn't remember doing the entire first act. After you play exactly the same thing over and over, 5-6 shows per week, you kinda start going on autopilot.

It's worse when the drummer can't remember that he's played the song numerous times - while actually playing it
