My engineering class Bass guitar

I'm not crazy about the clear guard, but it's a very good effort overall. If you want a really "professional" quality pickguard,cut out the shape you want out of sturdy paper. Refine the shape till you're 100% satisfied with it. Use this paper template to cut out a guard template made from something like 1/4" plywood. Use double sided tape to stick your pickguard blank to it and route all around it with a beveled router bit with the bearing running against your template. Plexiglass is pretty brittle. There are many online shops selling blank pickguard material for such purposes. I think black would look good.
