I just found this on the Cacophony Forums...

To sign up for the Mackie DL1608 Link Removed follow the link there.

For those whom do not know what this is, My Fader allows those with Iphones to control the Mackie DL1608. Usually used for their own monitor mixes.

may i ask why you would want to use the beta version of any app on live gigs...typically with beta's you don't get a choice of using the stable or beta due to things like firmware upgrades, and software upgrades...not to mention glitchy..

HOWEVER good find!...

Under normal circumstances, sir, you'd be correct. However, for those who had a complete working version of Master Fader 2.0 and My fader 2.0, it was bliss. However, beings Mackie released the Master Fader upgrade to 3.0, the My Fader 2.0 version was no longer compatible. It's a shot in the dark but, I don't think Mackie would have rolled out the My Fader Beta if they didn't think that they had MOST of the bugs worked out. Not to mention the outcry from the masses when their Ipad upgraded to 3.0 and the My Fader hadn't been yet released and the disgruntled customers.

Now, that being said, they have released the DL32R. That runs off of the same software. Now the masses are really calling for the My Fader. Being able to control your personal monitor mix via an Ipad or Iphone is a MAJOR selling point of theirs. I'm signed up for it because some of my bandmates want to try it.

Just FWIW. and of course, just MHO.

Your HO is probably correct though, that they may have the app fully functional at this point. The public beta of Master Fader 3.0 lasted barely a week or so before the full release. My guess is that My Fader will be similar.

I personally will wait... I walk through a used car lot, I can buy most anything except a Jeep Cherokee. Problem for me is it has this thing on the rear that says 4.0

If it said 4.01, or 4.0a or 4.1 I could deal...

The coder in me says no way to a dot zero anything...
