My Fender Squier MIJ Precision Bass

Hello everyone,
I am new to this forum and this is my very first post. I have got a query regarding a bass guitar which i bought a few weeks ago.
According to my information, its Fender Squier Precision Bass SQ Silver Series made in Japan in the early nineties. It is in very good condition.

All i want to know is if its a real Fender Squier MIJ.

I am uploading a few pictures and its serial number as well.
Serial Number: L020296

Need your help on this one as i really don't know how to figure out if its a real or fake.

Its real, its not a fake and it was MADE IN JAPAN.

The Silver series Squier was the last Squier to be made in Japan. So you have a piece of history in your hands

Thanks for the info. Can you please tell me its year of production??
I know its not as collectible as the JV series but still do you have any idea about the worth of this guitar?????

That was made in 1991-1992
Its now priced between $150 - $ 250 here in Japan. It may not be collectible now but perhaps 20 years later, it may be considering it was the last Japanese-made Squier.

Didn't Fender Japan also make a few guitars for the Vista series in the mid 90's? Like the Jagmaster and the Venus.

these usually go $250-300 on ebay. Slap on a tort guard and you'll have a real looker there!

i just recently sold mine mine in this exact color scheme, great playing and sounding p bass,has really good craftsmanship ,the neck is to die for.

This is an old thread, but I just have to agree that the neck on these Silver Series basses ARE to die for. Nut width is 1.57", thick profile, great fretjob and very easy to play.

I have the first run Squier SQ MIJ P bass from 83'. They are built as well as any MIA Fender P bass and play awesome with a sweet neck. I need to find another or a JV series.
