If you're looking for an expensive amp that will work for both practice and small coffee house gigs, the Acoustic B20 is perfect. You can find it on sale at GC for less than $150 and you won't find better tone for any where near that price.

Any of Acoustic's combo amps will give you lots of bang for your buck. You might also want to check out the Orange Crush amps, Fender Rumble series, or the Marshall MB30.

I have a Fender Rumble 60 that I bought about a month ago. It's a great practice amp, and has a line out so you can do DI for PA support.
