Well, I'm a regular Bass Guitar Forums visitor/poster, but I seldom visit the DB forums just because, while I love playing my upright, I'm a bass guitar player at heart.
Anyway, I just wanted to share these big news (for me): After YEARS of saying to myself "I must add this to my gear arsenal" but not taking the time/money to do it, I FINALLY bought my very first pickup for my double bass: A Fishman Full Circle plus a pre-drilled adjustable 3/4 bridge from Mr. Bob Gollihur (Thank you one more time, Mr. Gollihur!). Although I don't gig that often with my DB, it happens from time to time and I don't want to ask my student to lend me his Fishman BP-100 anymore. Now I can't wait for my FC to arrive!
During all these years I kept reading intermittently about pickups for double bass and my research made me choose the Full Circle over the K&K Double Big Twin, my other strong contender. Based (so far) on reviews and comparisons only, I think I made the right choice. Any comments/suggestions for a brand-new Fishman Full Circle user are welcome!
