My first gig rig

This is my first gig worthy rig. The bass is a Rock Bass Corvette, a made in USA Peavey TNT 115 With a Black Widow sub, and a Digitech Grunge pedal. Not half bad considering Im not in a band, Im 18 with a part time job, and payed for it all.

what do you think?

i think congratulations are in order. you put together a nice solid little rig. those tnt combos are workhorses. in the late 80's i used to play in a rock band where a bar we were at had a fire and we lost all our backline, and the singer had a tnt combo that i used for a few months till i got a new amp. i saw her last year, and she still has it and it still works as good as it ever did.

Yes - congrats on getting that rig, it's a very giggable little setup. I hope you get some decent paying work with it.

I still use one of those TNT combos for gigs at my pal's club where backline is provided. I don't like the sound of it as much as my Markbass stuff, but it gets the job done well enough. If it saves me schlepping gear around, I'm using it.

nice first gig rig. These TNT are tank. When i felt in the dark side, somewhere in 96/97', they already were here from a long time, in reharsals places, and made the job well.
You can't go wrong with the 'vette, that was my first good bass, a warwick one from 96/97
now ? a band please.

My room mate's band's bassist used one of these for a year and a half before he bought his curent rig (which just blew a fuze actually, so it's back to the TNT)... anyways, i'm significantly more physically fit than they are, so i was talked into luging the TNT to every. single. show. It sucked :scowl:

Nice set-up for a first gig rig. I have an old Peavey combo with a 15" speaker myself and can't imagine letting it go, even if I don't use it that much.
