My first NBD (on Talk Bass)!

Decided to spend a little bit of money to get a back up bass. I wanted to get a 4 string because the 5 string has been putting a strain on my wrists when I'm practicing. I didn't want to spend much, but I wanted something awesome.

Here it is :D :

The G and D strings don't seem to be in the middle of the pole pieces. But I don't mind.

I had to lower the string height to my liking and set the intonation, but now it plays really well. I was instantly comfortable with it. I guess I got lucky considering I ordered it online without trying it out.

Nice. Squier doesn't get enough love. Decent basses at a nice price.

BTW the pole line up you mentioned looks like its just because the pickup for D and G is is offset a little to the left. Could be due to a bad cut on the pick guard. A new PG may fix that for you. Squier sometimes suffer from small QC issues like that. Honestly I don't think it should effect anything. I have a Dimarzio Model P on my Ibanez that doesn't line up, I think because its designed for P bass string spacing, but still sounds great.

Congrats on the new bass!
