I've been thinking about in the future, getting an Ashodown BlueLine 1x15 and putting an Ashdown BlueLine 4x10 on top. Not sure what head yet but doesn't matter yet anyway.

I'm sure it will be a good investment as I have heard some good things about Ashdown here and not so good things about the GK Goldline, which is what I currently have.
Also it should be around the $700-$900 area which would for me, be more affordable than going with Ampeg.
Also the color is just cool!

So really the point of this thread is... am I heading in the right direction here?

You should be. Ashdown gets lots of good reviews, and if you like the special blue it makes it that much better.

Im not sure he meant investment in that context, but a "more for the money" type context.

I guess you haven't run into that guy on these forums who only buys things he thinks he can flip for a profit down the road.

Jordasch, perhaps you have a point. There's nothing like clear writing...

But still the OP should buy the amp that suits his needs and sound.

We can get reliability recommendations here on TB, but that's about all that can be objectively stated...and even then, some people abuse stuff.

Again it will be some time before I have the money for it but I think it;s what I'm gonna settle on. Thanks guys!

BTW, would you have any suggestions on how I could get maybe a sound comparison between ashdown and other amps?
