My Gibson SG has ruined me...

The bass on the left is my Grabber that I played for 30 years. I bought the SG last summer and LOVE IT.

I love it so much, I haven't played anything else on stage since I've owned it. The Grabber makes appearances as an emergency backup.

So last night, I decided to play the Grabber for the our last set. It was so hard! My hand still knew where to go, but holy crap it was so much more difficult to play. I'm spoiled by the SG and decided that I'm only ever playing it from now on.

So you're talking about comfort and playability?
What about the tone?
I remember my friend's Grabber sounding amazing.

The tone is great. I get a lot of complements on both.

I'm talking about comfort and playability. The SG is 30.5", the strings are 'softer' and it's not top heavy like the Grabber.

I love my Grabber, and to its credit, its never cried about being replaced ('cause it's a badass). This was just the first time I've noticed something like this. I have other basses and haven't experienced this while practicing....but that's not the same as a gig.

I feel the same way about my Cort Arona.I got it 4 weeks ago.My others just sit there being mad at me.
