She had this information to go on:

* I desperately need new strings for my Jazz 5
* I'm sad

When I get to finally go home, I have a set of 4 light guage 5 string packs Elixir of Elixir Nanowebs waiting for me. Yo. Fellas. That's like $200+ AUD. I dunno what to say..

Honestly that sounds like a more thoughtful gift than a new bass. A new bass is easy; buying you several sets of your favorite strings is much more difficult.

I'll say! I don't really talk about gear with her, but that being said, she has stated that she really enjoys the sound of my rig since I jumped brands. She had *some* idea.
