    hi guys,
i recently blew up an Ampeg SVT-7 pro head and really do not want to do the same to my new Hartke Kilo!!!
the Hartke Kilo has a bridged output sending 1000 watts at 4ohm
my cab is a ABM 810 which is rated at 1200 watts at 4ohms so as far as i am aware this is a compatible match.
what im wanting to know is do i need a 2 or 4 pin speakon cable to connect these two together, i can not find wiring diagrams anywhere

is anybody familiar with these models?

Looks like a standard two conductor Speakon cable would do it.

from the specs you should be fine, if you hear the cab stressing turn it down though.

How did you blow up the 7 pro? Turn the knobs past half way? ;)

It probably blew on its own. Nothing strange considering it's the 7 pro, they just do that. They die. And then then they die again.

Yeah, I'd much rather have that TC head with the nut that falls off and lands on the circuit board and shocks the player.

  8. At least its only a ~240 watt amp.... shouldnt hurt too badly.

You are right, it was good of them to own it and put out a recall notice and pay to have the small batch that had that problem fixed. Instead of blaming the user.

  13. OUCH ;)

  16. Looking at the user manual on line a standard 4 pin two conductor speakon from the separate "Bridged" output is what you need. Be sure to move the switch to "Bridged" from "Stereo" on the back.

  17. +1

Fine if you don't turn it up too far.

Specs are notoriously not fine for Johnny No Ears who thinks he can crank 1000W into a "1200W" cab and be totally safe.

  18. DANG......that even sounds painful.....:scowl:
